BRUGOLA OEB AND ICOPOWER, THANKS TO MALGARA X, JOIN FORCES FOR SUSTAINABLE ENERGY MANAGEMENT
Thanks to the collaboration with Malgara X, Brugola implements innovative technology to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
Brugola OEB has recently formed a strategic partnership with Icopower, a company specializing in energy efficiency and sustainability. Through collaboration with Malgara X, a strategic partner of Icopower, Brugola aims to optimize energy efficiency in its facilities while simultaneously promoting the reduction of electrical consumption.
The agreement reached involves the implementation of patented technology by Icopower, focused on eliminating waste caused by overvoltages in incoming electrical energy. In particular, patented voltage optimizers will be installed in three Brugola facilities in Lissone (B1, B2, and B3), allowing for an estimated savings between 5% and 7%, equivalent to approximately 770,000 kWh This initiative will also result in a significant reduction in CO2 emissions by over 200 tons.
The project aligns perfectly with Brugola’s sustainability plan, committing to reduce CO2 emissions by over 70% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2035. This partnership highlights Brugola’s ongoing commitment to pursue increasingly eco-friendly business practices, contributing to global efforts to protect the environment.
